Right now, the whole front page of this site is a mashup of my recent Twitter updates. Not exactly how I envision my site, but I suppose it’s all I’ve had time (or motivation) for lately.
Twitter is a great tool — for networking and gathering and passing on ideas. There’s something freeing about knowing you have a limited number of words in which to say what you want to say.
Short (and sometimes sweet) updates are easy to make with the kids running around and being loud. (And — oh, man — are my boys loud! Even when they’re really trying not to be. Just ask my mom, who went to lunch with all of us yesterday…)
I can sit at the computer for a minute, then get up to settle an argument, put a different movie in, help with the kids’ computer, roll a ball or truck across the kitchen floor, and tickle and hug and kiss and sing, all in between.
So when I automated my Twitter updates here, it was to ensure that there was something here. But it seems pretty stupid to me now.
It’s Spring Break for me, and you wouldn’t believe the number of items on my to-do list — er, the one I’m going to finalize after I get this post published and make some coffee. ;)
