I’ve been using and enjoying the new WordPress default theme, Twenty Ten, for a couple of months now. I really like all of the widget areas, especially the four in the footer, and it’s so easy to customize, especially the header and menus.
If you’re using this theme and would like a change, feel free to use these. They’re all cropped to 940 × 198 pixels, as required. Just click on the image you like; then, right-click and save it to your hard drive. In your WP Admin, click on “Header” under “Appearance” and you can upload the image there.
The header image I’m using now is a picture I took in July. My husband, Kevin, and I were exploring upper-west Manhattan, looking for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s medieval collection called The Cloisters, when stopped to eat our bagels overlooking the Hudson River.
And there, to our left, was the George Washington Bridge. We’d never seen it from this side, and I thought it looked especially anachronistic amidst the trees:

A view of the Hudson from the same spot:

The Manhattan skyline from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, also taken in July:

The Brooklyn Bridge, up and up-close, that same day:

This one was taken inside the Ft. McHenry Tunnel, which runs under Baltimore Harbor, on the way to New York a few years ago. I wasn’t driving, I promise. ;) It’s one of my favorite pictures:
