I stayed after school until about quarter to 5 this afternoon helping two students with their research projects.

Want to guess what the weirdest part of it was? It was realizing that this was the first time all year that anyone has asked me to stay a day and actually showed up.

Although it’s frustrating to have to go through the same things I’ve been teaching for months now when they played around and didn’t listen the first (or tenth!) time, I’m so glad these two made the effort!

And in the coming weeks when we’re working on the rough draft, they’ll be thankful, too … if they aren’t already.
